New Year

I cannot believe that  a new year has come! It seems like we were just having this celebration. I am so excited because this semester I am not taking classes. I have taken classes for the last year and a half with no breaks, so this is really nice to not have homework every night. I am going to be taking the DAT on January 30, but once that is finished I will have nothing. I am so excited. I am looking for a job right now since I cannot work on campus unless I am full-time, so hopefully I can find something soon.

Tammy is enjoying her teaching. She is teaching two sections this semester so she is a little more busy, and will be a lot busier once she has papers to grade.  We are both enjoying having a little more time than normal to spend with each other.

We are still managing Danbury Manor, so free rent (YEAH). This semester I have a few repairs and renovations to make, including remodeling a bathroom. I am also doing an internship with a free dental clinic in Rexburg. It is going to be a great experience since we the students run the entire practice. We get the dentists to volunteer and we schedule all the appointments. We are also do the assisting and we make sure the clinic is fully stocked with the proper materials. Basically, I am getting to see how to run an office. I am really grateful for this experience.

School Is Out

Hallelujah! School is finally finished for this semester! Tammy and I are so excited to have a break for a few weeks. I am really excited because I am taking next semester off to do an internship with a dental clinic in town. I had good classes this semester, but it still feels great to be done for a while. I will not start classes again until the middle of April. Tammy is still going to teach next semester, but this time she will teach two sections of English 111. I am going to be a lab assistant for an advanced anatomy class and chem 105. I am looking forward to the review that I will get from doing that.

Other than that we are doing wonderful. Life is great! We are looking forward to Christmas in CA this year. A break from the cold will do us  both wonders :)

Updated

So I was looking at all of our friends blogs and realized that this one was really boring. So I have added some new features. I hope you enjoy the music. Also, I hope to be adding more pics soon. Other than that, nothing has changed for us. Life is great. We are happy and healthy.

Internship

Well I have obtained an internship for the winter semester! I am really excited. It is with the Eastern Idaho Low-Income Dental Clinic. I will be the business intern. I am not sure of all the responsibilities that I will have, but I know that I will be making appointments, making sure we have dentists available and in charge of ordering materials. It is an unpaid internship so I will still be working at my job on campus. I am hoping that this will look good on my resume and on my applications to dental school. I am getting really excited to graduate, even though it is still over a year away. It feels like it is so close. I have decided to take the DAT on January 30. That way I will have more time to study.

Life is going great for Tammy too. She is really enjoying her calling and her teaching. Next semester she is going to teach two sections, and I know that she will do a great job. She is the greatest thing in my life. I love her so much. Other than that there is not much to report. Life is great. We love you all!

Time is passing too quickly.

I cannot believe that it is already the end of October. It feels like school had just begun, but now it is after midterm. And something that is even more frightening is that on November 20, I am going to be taking the DAT. I am studying a lot for it, but I am still very nervous. Life is just so busy with school, church, home, and studying for the DAT. But, Tammy and I are still having a great time! Last night we went to the Halloween concert that the orchestra does on campus. It was amazing. This was the last one for the current conductor and assistant. They have done a great job. Tonight we are going to have a Halloween Party with a lot of our friends. Since they all live in housing where kids don't come trick-or-treating, they are all going to bring their candy here, so if kids come to our house they will get loaded up. We are hoping for a good turnout of kids to give the candy to.

It has begun

So school started.  Tammy is having a good time teaching.  She is a great teacher.  I wish that I was allowed to take her as a teacher, buy I might make her biased.  My classes are going well.  I have a lot to learn this semester, but it will be enjoyable.  I am really enjoying my English class. My teacher is really great.  He actually makes things interesting.  I am applying for an internship for next semester here in town with a free dental clinic.  I hope that I get it.  Other than that, things are the same.  School, work, and church.  That is our life, but we love it.

School Starting

So school starts tomorrow - wow, I can't believe that this break is over!  We have been working on the apartments, especially apartment B.  We laid tile.  It looks okay, but is far from perfect.  It has been great managing these apartments because we have both been able to learn a lot.  Tammy is nervous for her first day of school tomorrow teaching, but I know that she is going to do a great job.  Her students are lucky to have her.  This semester I am taking 14 credits.  Physics, Psychology, English, Anatomy of the head and neck, and Teachings of the Living Prophets.  I am really looking forward to my classes, they should be really interesting.  I am also studying hard for the DAT.  I am going to take it on Nov. 20.  Our callings are going great too.  We are both keeping really busy, but it is great.  Who really wants to have nothing to do.
